Hawkesbury Speech Pathology Practice is able to see children who have an NDIS plan where their funds are ‘Self Managed’ or ‘Plan Managed’. Unfortunately, we are currently not a registered NDIS Provider and are not able to see children who are ‘NDIA Managed’.
NDIS
You can ask your GP to provide you with a ‘Chronic Condition Management Plan’ (CCM). This will provide you with five Medicare rebated sessions per calendar year. Talk to your GP for more information.
From March 1st 2026, Medicare expanded the MBS Item 139 scheme to include children with confirmed or suspected speech sound disorder, stuttering, cleft palate or apraxia of speech. An Item 139 plan can be requested once and is valid until a child turns 25 years old. Speak with your GP for more information about this scheme.
